Face Fit Testing at Prosper Training

  • The test will normally take around 30 minutes per person

This course will provide delegates with the knowledge and competency required to ensure the correct fitting of suitable respiratory protection equipment (RPE) using qualitative filtering facepiece (FFP) or half masks 

The individual will be shown how to fit the face piece appropriately.

Course Content

The process consists of an RPE wearer, carrying out a series of light exercises whilst undergoing qualitative fit testing by a trained face fit testing operator.

If the mask is unsuitable for the wearer, this will incur a fail. We can repeat the test until the mask achieves a proper seal

Course Requirements

To attend the test, you are required to be cleanly shaven, or we will refuse to test you, as we will not achieve a seal.

You must provide the mask on the day that you use for work.

Assessment and Certification

All of our testers have undergone a Face Fit Testing Workshop, delivered by a Fit2Fit approved tutor.

Delegates successfully completing the Face Fit Testing will be issued a certificate accredited by Prosper Training Ltd.

In-Company Course

This course can be booked by employers to train groups of workers, you can have between 6 and 16 people on a course.
